THANK YOU           THANK YOU            THANK YOU

On August 18 & 19, 2017, the Alcorn County Genealogy Society, Prentiss County Genealogical and Historical Society, and Tishomingo County Historical & Genealogical Society hosted the fifth annual Old Tishomingo Genealogy Fair. The event started Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. with a bus tour of Corinth ending up at the beautiful Coliseum Civic Center. Saturday morning began at 8:50 with a welcome from Corinth’s mayor, Tommy Irvin. The presenters were well prepared with their presentations and handouts throughout the day. We also appreciate the vendors who came and sat up their tables. During the lunch break we enjoyed music from the Tippah County Dulcimer Guild. It was a good day!

We had some wonderful door prizes and would like to thank: Kevin and Angie Roberts, Jeffrey Huff, Bonnie Dalton, Guy and Gale Judkins, Chris Ozbirn, Anne Wood, Dinner Bell, Rib Shack, Shirley Dawgs, C.D. Jarnigan, Co., Rowan House, ACGS, Prentiss County Genealogical and Historical Society, Corinth Art Gallery, Metal Works, Crossroads Museum, and Dr. and Mrs. Robert Perry.

We want to thank everyone that helped make this event possible. Especially some of the husbands who helped with the sound, to set up, picked up food, and cleaned up. To our wonderful tour guide, Mr. William McMullin and our bus driver, Mr. Guy Judkins. Also to Tate Street Baptist Church for the use of their bus. A very special thanks to Waldron Street Christian Church for the use of their beautiful church and facilities. Thank you all for helping make the 2017 Old Tishomingo Genealogy Fair a success. A few pictures are posted below.

One of the stops on the Bus Tour was the City Cemetery, which is Corinth's oldest cemetery. So peaceful, quiet and beautiful.
