Log Book INDEX
1916 - 1919
| Before McPeter's became a funeral home they had a furniture store. There are many entries in their log book where people purchased coffins. Unfortunately, they didn't always list the name of the deceased. These entries were written by Mr. W.T. McPeters and his handwriting is difficult to read. I transcribed the spelling the best I could. The deceased is white unless otherwise indicated. This is the way it was done in the actual book. Most people charged their purchases and paid them out over a period of time. This is the only other information listed. These records would not be available without the kindness of Bill and Judy McPeters. I sincerely appreciate them for letting me have full access to all their records. They have been wonderful. When looking through the index, use your imagination regarding spelling.
