Miss Bonetha Caffey, 90, died Thursday at Whitfield Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. at Henry Cemetery with Rev. Claude Fleming officiating. McPeters Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by 2 nephews, Robert W. Caffrey, Hollywood, Calif. And Hugh Caffey, Blytheville, Ark.; a niece, Mrs. Carolyn Masterson, Jenkintown, Pa.

Carter, Sarah Lucille

Services for Miss Sarah Lucille Carter, 55, of Route 3, Corinth, were held Sunday afternoon at Fraley's Chapel Church of Christ with the Rev. Walker Whittie and the Rev. Jerry Cowan officiating.
Miss Carter, an IBM operator at Armour & Co. and a member of Fraley's Chapel Church of Christ, was buried at Fraley's Chapel Cemetery.
She leaves a brother, Charles S. Carter, Mobile, Ala., and a sister, Mrs. Lawrence Strickland of Corinth.
McPeters Mortuary was in charge.

Chase, W.R.

W.R. Chase, 75, route 1, Rienzi, died Wednesday at Magnolia Hospital after an extended illness. He was a retired farmer and a member of Jacinto Baptist Church.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Jacinto Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Hardwick and Rev. Lester Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Jacinto Cemetery with McPeters Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Velma C. Chase; a son, Robert L. Chase, Rienzi; a brother, John M. Chase, Southhaven, Miss.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ruby Byrd, Memphis and Mrs. Minnie McCoy, Burnsville, Miss.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Newborn, Roy David, Charles Ray Burcham, C.G. Prince, Jack Richardson and Jim Robertson.

Childs, Myrtle

Mrs. Myrtle Studdard Childs, 56, 1302 East Third Street, Corinth died last night at her residence of an apparent heart attack.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coleman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Connally officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery with Coleman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Turner G. Childs; three sons, Miller Childs and Danny Childs, both of Corinth and Bill Childs, Memphis; 4 brothers, Willie Studdard, Joe Studdard, Jack Studdard, all of Corinth and Ed Studdard, Memphis; a sister Mrs. W.A. Mathis, Walnut; six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be nephews.

Clayton, Charolett

Charolett Clayton, 43, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at her home. She was born June 3, 1968, in Memphis to W.L. and Nancy Hutcheson Hopper. She was a housewife, and she attended the Mills Community Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching NASCAR and flowers.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Corinth with Bro. Ray Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Robert Clayton of Rienzi; son, Greg Clayton of Columbus; daughters, Tiffany Clayton; her fiancé, Jarell Chamblee of Rienzi, sisters, Carolyn (Rodney) Swindle of Corinth, Lorie (Billy) Garvin of Booneville; nephews and nieces, Derek (Lauren) Swindle, Cody Swindle, Claresia (Chad) Dees and Chelsey Garvin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Cody Swindle, Cody Kelton, Derek Swindle, Chad Dees, John Hearn and Danny Brinson.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time today.

Chunn, Lennie Mae Clifford

Mrs. Lennie Mae Clifford Chunn, 80, of 1910 Proper St/ Corinth, died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday in Magnolia Hospital. A native of Madison County, Tenn., she was a member of the East Chester Street Church of Christ in Jackson, Tenn. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Paul Keeling and Mrs. Meadows. Survivors include two stepsons, O.T. Chunn, Paragould Ark., and Henry Chunn of Michigan; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ray Hester, Paragould, Ark. and a sister, Mrs. I.R. Alexander, Corinth. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Clemmons, Floyd

Floyd Clemmons, 67, 205 Sharp Street, died suddenly at his home this morning.
He was a retired presser for Haynes Dry Cleaners, a veteranof World War II and a member of West Corinth Baptist Church
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at McPeters Chapel with burial in Holly Cemetery with Rev. Billy Langley officiating. McPeters Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by a son, Travis Clemmons, Corinth; a brother, Howard Clemmons, Corinth; a sister, Mrs. Lyle Watkins, Corinth; and one grand child.
Pallbearers will be Billy Tyson, Bryan Smith, Jr., James Tyson, James Beavers, Hershal Holley and Henry Lee Hardin.

Clemmons, Mrs. Lester

Mrs. Lester Clemmons, 73, of 114 Green St., Tupelo, died Tuesday at 5:45 a.m. at her home. She was the widow of a former Corinthian, Robert Howard Clemmons.
She was a member of the Okolona Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. Funeral services were to be held today at 2:30 p.m. at McPeters Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Grisham officiating. Burial was to be in Holly Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. E.G. Colbert and Miss Vesta Gray Clemmons, both of Houston, Tex. and 5 grandchildren. McPeters Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Clenney, Jerry

Funeral services for Jerry Clenney, 59, of Corinth, are set for 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Burcham officiating. Burial will be at Forrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Clenney died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at his home. He attended Strickland Baptist Church and enjoyed serving as an auctioneer, dealing in furniture and antiques and spending time with family and his pet dog, Patches. He was regarded as a great husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Willie Mae Rushing Clenney; a brother, Neil Clenny; and a sister, Mary Nellie Wallace.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Clenney; two daughters, Michelle Hopper and Cindy Mitchell, both of Lexington, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Michelle Mayhall and her husband, Robert, of Franklin, Ky.; a stepson, Randy Dotson and his wife, Peggy, of Corinth, a sister, Peggy Washburn and her husband, Frank, of Lexington, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jared Hopper, Kristen Hopper, Tiffany Mitchell, Kesha Lynn Seltzer, Bridget Leigh Seltzer, Ryley Mayhall an Ari Montana Mayhall; two great-grandchildren, Jane Mariah Dalton and William Goodwin; a brother-in-law, Everett Wallace; a sister-in-law, Louise Clenney; and special friends Tommy and Diane Mathis of Corinth.
Pallbearers are Ryley Mayhall, Chad Mathis, Brad Brooks, James Brooks, Ronnie Washburn, Shane Grice, and Derek Grice. Tommy Mathis and Randy Dotson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation is from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday.

Clifton, Tom

Funeral services for Mr. Tom Clifton, 60, have been scheduled for 1 p.m., Friday, July 18, at the Burns-Denton Chapel with Rev. Claude Fleming and Rev. John M. Causey officiating.
Clifton, assistant manager of the Corinth Gas and Water Department and a company employee for 30 years died Thursday, July 17, at 5.45 a.m. at Magnolia Hospital following an illness of 6 months.
Interment will be in the Corinth National Cemetery with Burns-Denton Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and a veteran of WWII and a member of the VFW.
Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Beautonne S. clifton, Corinth, a son, Tony Clifton, Corinth; 2 daughters Mrs. Tom L. Epperson, Slidell, La.; Mrs. Don T. Thomas, Grand Rapids, Mich.; a brother, Charles Clifton, Corinth, and 4 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Bill Switzer, Bruce Brown, Dr. James Rhoades, Walt Jagodinski (Iuka, Ms.), Harold Deaton, Troy Gorman, Albert Pace, and Jimmy Hill.
Employees of Corinth Gas and Water Department will be honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donatons may be sent to the Alcorn County Chapter of the Cancer Fund or to Christ United Methodist Church.

Coleman, Eddie

Eddie Coleman of 734 John St. died Wednesday night at Magnolia Hospital. He was 61.
Born in Baldwyn, Coleman was a GM&O railroad employee.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Grayson's Funeral Home with the Rev. S.M. Jones officiating. Interment will be at Forrest Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, C.L. Coleman of Memphis; a daughter, Eddie Lou Coleman of Corinth; and four grandchildren.

Coleman, Martha Ann

Mrs. Martha Ann Coleman, 56, of Kossuth, died December 29 after an extended illness. She was a Methodist.
Funeral services were held January 1 at City Road CME Methodist Church with the Rev. Ezell Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Ann - Dilworth Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Hillie Coleman; a daughter, Mrs. Magaline Windom of Corinth; four brothers, John Taylor and Wilber Taylor, both of Toledo, Ohio, Hinton Taylor of Cleveland, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Lorna Walker, Miss Cora Taylor, Mrs. Flora Norman and Mrs. Gerty Lee Traywick, all of Cleveland and Mrs. Dora Stovall of Dayton; and one grandchild.

Coleman, Winnie Mae

Funeral services for Winnie Mae Pickard Coleman, 90, of Corinth, are set for 11 a.m. today at Bucatunna Baptist Church, in Meridian, with the Rev. Buddy Braddock and the Rev. Derrick Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Ford Cemetery.
Mrs. Coleman died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, in Corinth. She was a hardworking homemaker and was greatly loved by her family. She was an active member of Bucatunna Baptist Church until she moved to Corinth to be with her daughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Coleman; one son, Jimmy Coleman; an infant daughter, Dorothy Sue Coleman; son-in-law, Jimmy Gardner; an infant grandson, Kenneth Michael Gardner; her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Gardner of Corinth, one son, Ronald Coleman of Whynot; daughter-in-law, Virginia Coleman of Whynot; one brother, Ladell Pickard and wife Lanelle of McComb; grandchildren, Sharon seal and husband Jimmy of Whynot, Phillip Coleman and wife Michelle of Whynot, Jeff Gardner and his wife Tracy, Brian Gardner and his wife, Frieda, Mark Gardner, and wife Shelia, all of Corinth; seven great-grandchildren, Kristy, Pace and husband Damon, Cassie Wing and husband Rodney of Whynot, Will Gardner, JonMark Gardner, Jennifer Gardner, Brandon Gardner and Coleman Gardner, all of Corinth; and two great-great grandchildren, Darby Kate Pace of Collinsville and Shelby Ann Wing of Whynot.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Coleman's grandsons, Jeff Gardner, Brian Gardner, Mark Gardner, Phillip Coleman, Damon Pace and Rodney Wing.
Visitation was held Wednesday at James F. Webb Funeral Home.

James Moorah Coln, 88, of Rt. 6, Corinth, died at 8 p.m. Saturday at his home.
A former justice of the peace, bailiff and deputy sheriff, Coln was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Sardis Primitive Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Strickland Church of Christ with Marvin Rainey and Clifford Rinehart officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mattie L. Coln; five sons, C.B. Coln Lester Coln, both of Corinth, Hubert Coln of West Memphis, Ark., J.T. Coln of Glen and Clyde Coln of Jackson Miss.; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Stevens of Corinth and Mrs. Lucille Lillie of Brooksport, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Elvin Browder of Michie and Mrs. Ora Sample of Florence, Ala.; 22 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
Pall bearers will be Ronald Coln, Ralph Coln, Raburn Coln, Jimmy Perry, Olen Coln, Murry Wayne Coln and Marlin Coln.

Covey, Elvin

Funeral services for Elvin Covey, 65 of Route 3, Corinth, were to b de held at 2 p.m. today at Coleman Memorial Chapel officiated by George E. Coleman. Burial was to be in Pyburn Cemetery in Hardin County, Tenn.
The retired sawmill and native of Hardin County died at 11:30 p.m. Friday in Memphis Veterans Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include a brother, Bill Covey of Corinth, and a sister, Mrs. Clarence B. Wallace, Corinth.
Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
